We are in event planning mode!

Here at the Council, the month of August was devoted to planning a number of important upcoming events. In just a short few weeks we will host our 62nd Annual Meeting at the Grand Summit Hotel in Newry. Information on our featured speakers, along with registration, is included below. If you haven’t yet registered for this event, please get that form returned to us ASAP.

We are also still soliciting donations for the evening raffle event. If you have an item you’d like to contribute, please email Sue at adminassist@maineforest.org. As you will see below, we have some exciting items already, but we can always use more!

Also included below is our announcement of 2022 award winners. We look forward to honoring these companies and individuals for contributions to the industry during our banquet event. 

Finally, Krysta has been hard at work planning our Fall 2022 Candidate Breakfast Series. The series is comprised of five breakfast events held at locations from Presque Isle to Portland. These events are designed to educate candidates about the importance of the forest products industry. Candidates will be given time at each of the events to speak to our membership and answer questions.

The Council is encouraging members to attend, and also to share the invitation with their employees. It is critical to foster productive relationships with current and future lawmakers. Thanks to the generosity of our event sponsors, these breakfasts present a great opportunity to speak with those who wish to represent us in Augusta, so please RSVP now to attend!
