MFPC seeking part-time office manager

The Maine Forest Products Council, the not-for-profit trade association for Maine’s iconic forest products industry, is seeking a part-time Office Manager (28 hours per week). The position is responsible for managing office operations including bookkeeping, budgeting, and facilities vendor management. The assistant reports to the Executive Director and helps manage correspondence and membership association activities. Event planning is an important aspect of the job; candidates should have experience in managing tournaments, annual meetings, or other similar events. The candidate must have good writing skills and should be proficient in MS Office and QuickBooks. The position requires strong communications, organizational and interpersonal skills.

The Maine Forest Products Council is run by a small team of professionals serving a diverse membership that includes paper mills, sawmills, foresters, loggers, large landowners managing more than 8.5 million acres of forestland in Maine and other wood manufacturing companies. The organization engages federal and state policymakers on issues of importance to the industry.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. The position will be located at the MFPC offices at 535 Civic Center Drive, in Augusta, Maine.
