PHIPPSBURG – The Maine Forest Products Council (MFPC) presented Alex Ingraham of Seven Islands/Pingree Associates and the Maine Budworm Response Coalition with the organization’s Presidents’ Award at its Annual Meeting on September 22, 2025.

This award is presented to an individual who exemplifies skilled leadership abilities and expertise in the forest products industry. This candidate must have served the Maine Forest Products Council on the Board of Directors and demonstrates a helpful and pragmatic approach to challenges. The recipient of the president’s award is honored for their ongoing contributions to the people of Maine’s forest communities as well.

The award, presented by the outgoing MFPC President Ben Carlisle, recognized Ingraham’s work coordinating and managing the 2025 Spruce Budworm Early Intervention Strategy as Chair of the newly formed Maine Budworm Response Coalition. Alex’s leadership made the development and implementation of an Early Intervention Strategy treatment program of over 240,000 acres across many diverse land ownerships a strong success and a model for years to come.
