Representative Samuel Zager; Krysta West MFPC Executive Director
Phippsburg – The Maine Forest Products Council (MFPC) awarded Representative Samuel Zager with the organization’s Legislative Service Award in advance of its 65th Annual Meeting in Phippsburg on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
The award, presented by MFPC Executive Director Krysta West, recognizes a legislator who provides exceptional service on behalf of the forest industry in the Maine Legislature. Representative Sam Zager was selected for his efforts to address barriers in establishing a first-in-the-region cross laminated timber manufacturing facility in Maine. Representative Zager has approached the forest industry with the curiosity and excitement that reflects the opportunities for Maine. His efforts to facilitate forest industry innovation are valued and appreciated by all who have an interest in the future of Maine’s working forests.
